George exploded back into UK politics. Beat all his other competitors, combined, in the Parliamentary by-election. Then he got air-time. Lots of air-time.
Outspoken like many “Populist” dissident voices. Winning on the same wave. He is likely to be more true to message in his votes than any of them: Trump, Meloni, Le Pen (iff …)). We’ll see.
He won in Rochedale near Manchester. Rochedale of the birth of the modern “Co-op” movement (the Rochedale Pioneers). About a hundred miles by road from Nottingham, “home” of the Luddite movement.
Feels like real people want politicians who speak and act in their voice. Not polite. Not answering to Special Interests (money).
