That’s 48 and 72 Watt Hours per day and 1,440 and 2,160 hours per 30day month. Here in Florida at 15¢ per kilowatt hour (1,000 watt hours) that comes to around 22¢ and 32¢ a month.
That’s an understandable reference point.
Can a fully functioned Identity Decision Point (IDP) running on such hardware handel 100 users with SSO and/or KERBEROS and/or a SCIM/REST interface? EASY!!! And at a fully amortized platform cost of what, 3x the price of the Pi(depreciation to 0 over 5 years = $50/60 months is around another 86¢ a month)? Call it $2/month for the platform? Or 2¢ a month per identity?
Call it 10¢ all in! 50% Gross Margin starts at 20¢/month/user! Not 2$. Not 9$ or 13$. Smells like there is a busines under those umbrellas.`
