Nope. Wrong premise.
What comes next, if escalation continues, isn’t a war of capturing territory. It is a war at a distance. Of anti-missile deterrence. Of technology.
If “WW III” is triggered, it won’t mean a months-long buildup. A mobilization. Or any of that totally obsolete military thinking. It will be triggered by an event, a provocation. The provocation will be met by a measured but more damaging response. Escalation then goes to/toward nuclear (which is all “The West”, USA, has).
Many know this. But not the leaders of The West. They’re convinced Russia will back down or simply fail to retaliate the crossing of the Russian Red Lines.
I think they are wrong. Russia is playing destructive patticake to demilitarize Ukraine and, indirectly, the rest of the Nato Coalition of the Vassals. THey’ll keep it up in this grinding approach until it ends. Until a meaningful treaty.
